Traditional Hot Forge Work: Candelabra & Sconces

4 class sessions      August 1,3, 8 & 10  Mon / Wed 6-9pm

Build natural light into the evening hours.  Choose a project and we will introduce traditional smithy techniques to create your functional work of …..art!  Everyone works at a different pace, it is possible to build a second project if time and your design allows.

We will use a mixture of fabrication, bending and hot forge techniques to create a traditional looking light fixture.  Of course I also encourage variation and contemporary ideas as well.  Class will start with by looking at some different designs for inspiration and style reference.  Better yet, bring in your own sketches or pictures.
