A welding helmet with attached Go Pro camera and tripod are sent to you.. Film as you learn to weld, so I get your perspective…literally. The idea is for you to be set up in your shop/garage or backyard. I demo live answering your questions and evaluating your techniques. Chalk board sketches, reference drawings, live video from my shop as I weld with you and demonstrate techniques. Body positioning is emphasized. You are welcome to bring your new welder, still in the box if you would like assistance assembling it setting the dials for proper welding. Class can cover a specific project that you have in mind. If you have a bench vise we can cover ornamental wrought iron bending techniques.

Generally: 2 hours covers MIG welding basics. A third hour gives you more practice time and allows for ornamental bending and shaping techniques. Allow one hour for Shop & Tools Test Out. A small project 3′ X 3′ might take 2-4 hours to complete. This has been a great Mother / Son or Father /daughter bonding experience and can be customized for your occasion or specific project.

You may bring your own welder and get help setting it up or dialing in the proper settings.
