Generally: 2 hours covers MIG welding basics. A third hour gives you more practice time and allows for ornamental bending and shaping techniques. Allow one hour for Shop & Tools Test Out. A small project 3′ X 3′ might take 2-4 hours to complete. This has been a great Mother / Son or Father /daughter bonding experience and can be customized for your occasion or specific project.
Focused Shop time with Mimi’s guidance on all aspects of your project. From planning, sketching and sourcing materials to hands on help with fabrication. Mimi is available for welding technique refresher and instruction on metal shop power tool use. This could be Mimi welding the tricky parts of your project for instance if you have a welding set up at home and you’d like help on the difficult sections and consultation on what steps to take next, we can develop a written plan for your project. Think of it as a specialized set of instructions just for you and your project. works beside you, this is a great way to grow confidence and practical shop skills,welding & fabrication techniques. You may bring your own welder and get help setting it up or dialing in the proper settings.
Mimi will teach 2 students for $120/hour and 3 students at $150/hour.
