3 Session Class Thursdays Dec 1st – Dec 15th 5-9pm
This class packs a punch – get your fingernails dirty or even chipped on all sorts of shop tools, bring your skills and project possibilities to the next level. Learn new fabrication, cutting and joining methods. Class focus is proper tool use, safety and practical knowledge. Mimi introduces intermediate and master tool use and techniques with a short discussion about the concepts used and the tools needed followed by a “Live fire” demonstration of the technique. Mimi breaks things down to simple steps. Students complete short, basic exercises that puts all of the information into practice. Power Tools: Abrasive chop saw, circular cold saw, Plasma Cutter, Oxygen Acetylene cutting torch, forge & anvil,grinders, drill press, making jigs, drilling, tapping, conduit benders and more.
This class certifies you for Hourly Shop Rental. This certification is good for a 1 year minimum, more if you actually remember how to safely use the tools : )
Handyman: We even learn about stuff different than welding. Wood carving and burning tools, how to cut glass, how to wire and outlet or light. This is gonna be fun, you are gonna kick ass.
